Ricky Emanuel is a consultant child, adolescent and adult psychotherapist who trained at the Tavistock Clinic in London.
He is head of child psychotherapy services at the Royal Free Hospital. Previously he was clinical lead for Camden CAMHS working in children’s commissioning for Camden Primary Care Trust. He has held a variety of positions in the ACP and has recently taken over as chair of the Ethics Committee from Sue Sherwin-White.
He has also sat on many Government bodies representing child psychotherapy like the National Service Framework for CAMHS, the CAMHS review and the NICE guidance development group for children with depression. He teaches at the Tavistock Clinic, Birmingham Trust for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and lectures widely in the UK and abroad.
